Abbie Anderson, a Freedom Academy delegate from Morgan High School, is instructed on how to load rounds into a M4 carbine magazine on Aug. 4, 2021 at Camp Williams, Utah. The 59th Freedom Academy is in full swing this week. The Utah National Guard and the Honorary Colonels Corps has sponsored Freedom Academy since 1961. It is designed to teach young leaders the importance of freedom, that it comes with a price, and that leadership is essential to its survival.
