Chilton served as an astronaut and flew on three space shuttle missions, and later became the only astronaut to serve as AFSPC commander. Fischer and Hopkins are currently serving at NASA. In September, Fischer returned from a 136-day mission on the International Space Station, where he participated in hundreds of scientific experiments and two spacewalks.
