Staff Sgt. Joel Turner, an Anderson, native and competitive shooting Soldier with the Army Marksmanship Unit, fires his rifle during the 2017 Practical Shooting Association Multi-Gun Nationals in Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 15. After the three-day competition that included 14 different stages and 79 other competitors, Turner clenched the second place title in the Open Division. Turner trailed the five-time world record holder, Jerry Miculek, by points.
