However, our girls came back strong in the second half and not onlytied the score, but won 14-12. On January 14, the team lost the first game, being defeated by the De-catur girls. Although the Berne girls kept at an almost equal pace duringthe first part of the game, it was an easy matter for the visiting teams tobring the score to 23-7 by the end of the second half. Another interesting though rather one-sided game was played againstPetroleum on January 27. Our girls again displayed some of their fast teamwork and easily won with a score of 15-2. On February 3, our team played the Monroe girls at Monroe. They weredefeated by a score of 28-5. On February 8, the team played at Bluffton. Our girls were in the leadat the beginning and stayed in the lead until the end, bringing the score to21-7 in our favor. Fifty-sir. ©UB YMMl
