The electricalequipment comprises four Westinghouse 533-T-4 mo-tors and one K-35-G controller. The car is run directlyinto the prison yard over a Y which will also be avail-able for the delivery of fuel and other supplies. The Montreal Tramways Company is probably thefirst in America to build a car of this kind. A ref-. This method of conveying prisonersis cheaper than the use of the ordinary patrol wagons,and furthermore the inmates are saved a great deal ofneedless humiliation. The adoption of the trolley-carservice by the Montreal penal authorities is in harmonywith the many humane features of the Bordeaux insti-tution.
