Historical re-enactment. A platoon of Swiss military bandsmen in traditional costume.

Drummers of the Genevan 1602 Company. The 1602 Company celebrates L'Escalade (as it is called in French) in Geneva each year. These celebrations commemorate the defeat of an attack by the Duke of Savoy on the city of Geneva, Switzerland on the night of 11th/12th December 1602. The celebrations are held on the closest weekend to those dates. Genevans dress up in costumes of the time and parade through the streets of the old city to the sound of pipes and drums.
