My experiencein shooting this game has all beenwithin recent years, and almost en-tirely in the marshes and along theshores of Cape Cod. Like othermembers of the present generationand later comers in a limited field, Ihave been obliged to hear with tire-some iteration the old, old story ofgray-haired men who tell of the armsand the man who in days gone by, onthis identical ground, have slain thesebirds by thousands.
