PHILIPPINE SEA (Feb. 13, 2022) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) Airman Derek Koch, from Pine Plains, , assigned to the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20), conducts flight operations with a UH-1Y Huey helicopter from Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265. Green Bay, part of Expeditionary Strike Group 7, along with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is operating in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
