Epistoma a little broader than in the male, as it is less narrowed above, grey or pale greyish yellow. Antennæ some- what shorter than in the male. Front tarsi simple (but however a little compressed); middle femora without prominence below. The legs more bristly, front tibiæ with two ventral rows. Length 5,3—5,8 mm. T. ammohates is common in Denmark on suitable localities; Fure Sø, Sorø Sø, Løng Sø at Sorø; in Jutland at Nymindegab, Ma- dum Sø near Skørping, Frederikshavn, Hulsig north of Frederikshavn, and on Læsø.
