20/06/2012, London, UK. 'MISSING' is an awareness campaign which attempts to educate the public about the need to return the Parthenon sculptures to Athens. The sculptures are commonly known as the Elgin Marbles and were removed from the Parthenon by Lord Elgin approx 200 yrs ago. MISSING is an initiative developed by The American Committee for the Reunification of the Parthenon Sculptures, Inc. (ACRPS) The campaign was introduced to the public on 20 June, 2012 at an organized gathering outside the British Museum. The campain was the idea of Konstantine Vaxevaneris of Konstantine and Partners.
