A model of Sydney Opera House at the Beijing World Park. Beijing World Park, a theme park that attempts to give visitors the chance to see the world without having to leave Beijing. The park covers hectares and is located in the southwestern Fengtai District of Beijing some 17 km from the city centre. The park opened in 1993 and is estimated to receive million visitors annually. The World, a 2004 film directed by Jia Zhangke, was shot in and around the Beijing World Park.
