On the left bank is the Royal Dart Yacht Club and in the distance the mouth of the river with Dartmouth Castle and Saint Petrox Church. Dartmouth is a popular location, becoming very busy in the summer months. Visitors from Torbay can access the town either by this lower ferry or a larger one higher up the river. Both Dartmouth and Kingswear have been popular locations for film makers.
