For Freckles.—Two ounces lemon juice or one half-dram powdered borax,one dram of sugar ; mix and let stand four days ; rub on face occasionally. Wash for Pimples.—Half dram salt of tartar, three ounces spirits of wine :apply with camels haii- brush. Wash for the Skin.—Four ounces potash, four oiuices rose water, twoounces brandy and two ounces lemon juice ; mix with t^\ o quarts water.
