He finds here no regularly laidout quays, no wharf cranes, such as one is accustomed toassociate with the handling of merchandise, and no regulararrangement of the streets. When using animal power this companyhad considerable difficulty in taking care of its traffic,especially on Sundays and holidays, when the demand fortransportation is always great.
