Tabaski or Eid Al Adha. The slaughter of a goat in a ritual Gambia, West Africa.

The Muslim public holiday known as Tabaski or Eid Al Adha is when families throughout the Gambia ritually slaughter mostly Goats in ritual sacrifice. Every married man or head of household is expected to buy a goat or other suitable animal such as a cow or sheep. The occasion of Tabaski is in commemoration of Abrahams willingness to sacrifice his own son, Ismail, in the name of Allah.
