The spec in en of Quercus I also v^ould not like to agree to be Ifaercus coc- cinea I can see no renenblance at all in either leaves or the acorns with the undoubted specinen which we have here. On the contra rj/, it is ver^r close to the Quepcus W-bra but with nore dissected leaves. It may be a hybrid betwee the Quercus rubra and coccinea but if it is it.
