PACIFIC OCEAN (March 2, 2015) Marines with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Air Combat Element (ACE) hoist a high-explosive guided bomb unit (GBU) into position on an AV-8B Harrier aboard Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2). Essex is currently underway conducting a PHIBRON/MEU Integration (PMINT) training exercise with Amphibious Squadron THREE and 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) in preparation for an upcoming deployment.
