Kampers held a retreat ceremony to pay respect to the flag and be awarded streamers for their guidon on June 28, 2017 at Camp Dawson. Kids Kamp first started in 1991 as a project of the State Fair Council, to give the dependents of deployed service members a better understanding of what their parents experienced, while overseas.
