A model 1869 officer's sabre, of the Austrian cavalry Damascus blade with a fuller on one side. The obverse side with "Echt Damast Eisenhauer Solingen", and the maker's inscription on the back of the blade. Openwork, nickel-plated hilt with floral designs. Sharkskin grip wrapped with silver wire, with a count's coat of arms on the grip cap. The scabbard also nickel-plated with a suspension ring and staple. Blade lightly notched.
