Monnow Bridge Monmouth Wales
The Monnow Bridge over the River Monnow in the town of Monmouth in Monmouthshire, Wales. It is the last existing mediaeval fortified river bridge in Great Britain where the gate tower actually stands on the bridge. The present stone bridge was built in the late 1200s with modifications added over the centuries.
