Cultivation of edible seaweed in a Salt Farm Foundation salt farm on the island of Texel in the Netherlands on 23 June 2020. Rising sea levels caused by global warming are causing salt water to seep into the soil in agricultural areas. To deal with the consequences of the salinisation of densely populated areas that depend on agriculture, the Salt Farm Foundation is combining science and agronomy to find solutions for growing fruit and vegetables on salinised land.
