Climate research. Display of results from a system that is monitoring and analysing the gas exchange between the atmosphere and oak trees in a forest. These results relate to carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, methane, and water vapour. The instruments and software are from the Picarro company. This research is aimed at studying the effects of climate change on the trees. The oak trees are downy oaks (Quercus pubescens), and these results are from the Oak Observatory (O3HP) at the Observatoire de Haute Provence, Haute Provence, France. Photographed in June 2012.
