Mir Castle in Belarus, medieval seat of the Radziwill family


Mir Castle, in the town of Mir between Minsk and Grodno, Belarus, a former seat of the Radziwill family, was begun at the end of the 15th century and is a UNESCO World Heritage site, cited in 2000. It has Gothic Baroque and Renaissance elements. It is being restored in the hope of attracting tourists. The family is considered Polish Lithuanian.
