The Discharging Horse Rake is a very plain and simple opera-ting implement. It is so constructed as to load itself, by raisingthe teeth a little, and the horse drawing it forward, when filled sofar as to form a winrow of suificient size ; a slide is ihen pressedforward, which discharges the hay. Bv raising the rake, we passthe first winrow, and commence a second, and thus continue untilwe pas5 over the field. One man and horsewith a boy to lead, will rake on an average from ten to fifteen acresper day, with ease, and do the work well. They aie coming intovery general use in all parts of the country and will, no doubt, ina few years supersede the use of the common hand rake.
