Nanorobot city, computer artwork. Nanorobots is a term used to describe future microscopic robots that could have a wide range of uses. They would generally be microscopic in size, and would not be able to accomplish much individually. However, as a group, many trillions of different nanorobots, each specialised to perform certain roles, would be able to perform large-scale projects, such as altering the environment.
