Our Lady Help of Christians and the Sons of Italy in America parade the Madonna and Child with Angels statuary through the neighborhood during the annual Italian Festa. People pin money on the sashes; some take a religious pin from the basket in return. The money collected is for the benefit of the St. Mary of Carmine Society and is used as scholarships for local families.
