Pavement sellers, often women, are here located by a main road through the townships on the eastern side of Grahamstown. They sell cheap, locally grown garden produce, such as onions, oranges, cabbages, squashes. The month is July, so winter: pleasantly warm by UK standards, but sufficiently cool for some local people to appear overdressed
