Honorary citizen of Athens will be declared Friday the president of the Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament Gianni Pittella. Mr. Pittella expected in Athens on Thursday evening, a day before the proclamation ceremony at City Hall. During his stay in Athens will be received by President of Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos. Mr. Pittella has spoken out several times in favor of the most extensive, progressive, center-left alliance, note sources of European Socialists.
