A 16th century battle featuring Ardashir , King of Armenia . In reality his reign was not historically notable with regards to battles but it is known he did take part in fighting against the Roman Empire and in Roman provinces such as Syria, Cilicia, and Cappadocia; & possibly the siege of Antioch in 253. Hormizd-Ardashir is also known by his dynastic name of Hormizd, Hormozd or Ohrmazd I. He was the third Sasanian King of Kings (shahanshah) of Iran and the governor-king of Armenia. He built the city of Hormizd-Ardashir (now Ahvaz). Official title was King of Kings of Iran and non-Iran.
