Ancient Egyptian lid of the sarcophagus coffin of Djedhor,4th cent BC, granite. the Louvre inv D9 or N345. Mythological scene; journey of the sun. Dedicated to Djedhor; Padimenekh (father); Neferrenpet (Mother). The inscription on the lid are to the friend of the dead, a bird with a human head, and chapters from the book of the dead. Inside the lid is a dedication to Nut godess of the sky, which welcomes the dead among the "imperishable" stars. Dioritr.
