The ordinance follows in many respects the Tayler settle-ment adopted in Cleveland. It provides for an initial fare ofeight tickets for a quarter for eight months after the accept-ance of the franchise, but allows an increase or decrease offares within prescribed limits, at stated intervals, to enable thecompany to pay a dividend of 6 per cent upon an appraisedvaluation of its property and upon the cost of future exten-.
