Santiago's former war arsenal building (Arsenales de Guerra) was built in 1890 and declared a National Monument in 1990. In the 17 year dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet it served as a detention centre. The photo shows the start of restoration after damage by the earthquake that hit Chile 27 february 2010.
