Situated adjacent to St Magnus Cathedral, the Bishops Palace dates from the 12th century. Constructed around the same period as the cathedral, the palace was originally built for St Magnus Cathedral’s first bishop, William the Old. The property is now managed by Historic Scotland and is open to visitors at specified times.
