Winery Ruins, Jack London State Historic Park, California

The wine-making firm of Kohler & Frohling operated a winery here from the 1870s until it was destroyed in the earthquake of 1906. They grew a variety of grapes, but this particular area was known as the Tokay vineyard. Subsequent to the earthquake, the winery and nearby vineyards were sold to Jack London.
