Gold flakes glint on curved surface of dome of table lamp, created in hand-blown glass by souffleur-de-verre Jean-Michel Operto of Biot, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, France

Biot, Alpes-Maritimes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, France: Glinting flakes of gold seem to float over the curved surface of the dome of an unlit table lamp created by southern French ‘souffleur de verre’ Jean-Michel Operto. This fine piece of contemporary hand-blown art glass was created by Jean-Michel at his studio workshop in Biot, the renowned French Riviera community of artisan glass-blowers.
