During Hunter’s first assignment at Whiteman, he served as the dedicated crew chief (DCC) on the Spirit of Kitty Hawk, tail number 93-1086, from 2000 to 2002, before moving into Quality Assurance and Production for another seven years. In 2015, Hunter returned to the 509th as the MXG superintendent, bringing his career full circle before retiring.
