Landhuis De Wijchert, built in 1907 to a design by Hanrath (1867-1932), innovator of the country house architecture in a new historicizing style. The house was built on behalf of Wendelaar and replaced an older villa on the Berg en Daal estate. After the departure of Mr Wendelaar, from 1927 to 1967, the rectorate of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was established, then the Orthopaedagogicum of the Lord Draat and now the office of House of Shoes Nimco BV. The house is a national monument
