210628-N-WQ732-3005 ARABIAN GULF (June 28, 2021) – Aviation Structural Mechanic 2nd Class Meggan Vanharn signals to the pilots of an MH-60R, attached to the “Swamp Foxes” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 74, on the flight deck of guided-missile cruiser USS Monterey (CG 61) in the Arabian Gulf, June 28. Monterey is operating with the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group while deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations and providing airpower to protect and coalition forces as they conduct drawdown operation from Afghanistan.
