Liverpool, Merseyside, UK 4th December, 2015. Coca Cola truck visits Merseyside with Every Can Counts Promotion. The partnership between drink can manufacturers and the recycling industry, aims to encourage people to recycle more whether it be at work, at college, at an event or festival. Aluminium and steel – the materials used to make drink cans – are infinitely recyclable. This means they can be melted down and endlessly reused with absolutely no loss of quality, in what’s known as ‘closed loop’ recycling. Credit: MarPhotographics/Alamy Live News
Every Can Counts: Promoting drinks can recycling across Europe Every Can Counts aims to enable and encourage more people to recycle the drinks cans they use outside the home; specifically in workplaces and at locations and on occasions when people are ‘on the go’. The programme offers advice and practical support to organisations wishing to improve their recycling. Developed and funded by the beverage can manufacturing and recycling industry, there are now nine Every Can Counts programmes operating across Europe. Every Can Counts demonstrates the metal packaging industry’s commitment to invest in programmes to drive lasting, positive behaviour change and maximise recycling performance.
