Kabul, Afghanistan (November 30, 2009)- Canadian Maj. Gen. Mike Ward, right, Deputy Commander NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan (NTM-A), from Ottawa, Ontario, presents Canadian Chief Petty Officer 2nd Class Trevor Spring, from Pleasantville, Nova Scotia, with the rank of Chief Petty Officer 1st Class, the highest enlisted rank in the Canadian Navy. “This is the culmination of my career,” said Spring. The promotion was held at Camp Eggers, the headquarters for the newly established command, NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan, on Nov. 30, 2009.
