CARIBOU AND ARCTIC HARE During the long, dim winter the Arctic hare stays close to a snowdrift. This is for pro-tection from the great Arctic owl, who is always ready to pounce upon and carry him , this little fellow can run very swiftly; and his gift from the Great Spirit was a keensense of sight, scent, and ARCTIC HARE
