This new variety from Western China is admittedly one of the most beautiful Lilies yet intro- duced. It grows 3 to 5 feet high, and blooms out of doors in July. It is perfectly hardy, and flourishes under very varied conditions, the large trumpet shaped, delicately scented flowers, which are produced freely, are ivory white shaded pink, tinged with canary yeUow at the base of the petals. The Speciosum or Lancifolium are the most important of all the Japanese Lilies, always satisfactory.
