Height atshoulder about 3 feet; weight about 140 lbs. clean.^ The originaldistribution includes Greece, Spain, Portugal, Anatolia, Rhodes, Sardinia,Asia Minor, Northern Palestine, and North-Western Africa, but thespecies has been introduced into Great Britain and some other Asia Minor wild fallow deer are found along the south coast as faras Adana, and at one spot in the interior ; whether they still exist inNorth Africa is doubtful.
