The ferry harbour at Sibu on the Rejang River Sarawak Malaysia
The River Rejang, or Rajang, is the main transport artery cutting deep into the forests of Sarawak, Malaysian Borneo. The largest town on its banks is Sibu, the hub of ferries and freight transport up and down the river, to and from towns, villages and settlements along the Rejang. This image shows the ferry dock at Sibu, with freight and passengers arriving and preparing to leave. The pagoda of Tua Pek Kong, a Chinese Taoist temple, is in the background.
