Proboscis fully developed ; palpi upturned, tlie 2nd joint reaching about to middle of frons and fringed with long hair in front, the 3rd moderate ; frons with large rounded prominence with raised edges, corneous process in centre, and corneous plate below it; eyes small, reniform ; antennae of male almost simple; tborax clothed with rough hair and without crests; tibice iringed with long hair, the fore tarsi with the joints short and the ungues large; abdomen clothed with rough hair and without crests. Fore wing with tlie costa slightly excised beyond middle, the apex jiroduced and acute, the termeu obliquely curved and not crenulate ; veins 3 and 5 from near angle of cell; 6, 7 from upper angle ; 8, 9, 10 stalked ; 11 from cell.
