By some mistake Eva came to BedfordHouse, a summer school kept by Miss Carew, who was expecting a. new pupilfrom Ireland. Eva arrived during the temporary absence of Miss Carew andsoon discovered her error, but agreed to stay for a day and impersonate theIrish girl. This led to amusing incidents, as Miss Carew, who was slightly deafwas completely deceived. The leading part was taken by Eva Smith while Irene Waters, whosereputation as a comedian was made in last years production, once moreentertrined us as only Irene can The Euclid Mens Club DURING the month of October in the year 1921 an idea was born whichresulted in the forming of a club for the men of Euclid and organization is formally known as the Euclid Mens Club and hasfor Its purpose the development of the general welfare of the community, topromote the social, civic, physical and cultural life and estabhsh a better andmore neighborly relationship among the residents. An extensive program was mapped out by the Officers and Directors whichwas presented to the Chairman of the Standing Committees. In justice tothese chairmen it must be stated that they performed their duties admirably. As an educational feature, speakers were procured and addressed the clubonce each month. Dances were given twice a month to furnish entertainmentand promote the social life. Thursday night ot each week was gym night andpractice night for the basket ball teams.
