Durga In Hinduism is one of the forms of the goddess Devi or Shakti. She is usually depicted riding a lion or tiger, each of her multiple arms bearing a weapon. Durga Puja or worship of Goddess Durga is the biggest festival of Hindus in Bihar, West Bengal, East Bengal, Jharkhand, and Bengali Hindus all over the world. Durga Puja includes the worships of Shiva, Lakshmi, Ganesha, Saraswati, Kartikeya and Mahishasura also. Modern tradition have come to include the display of decorated pandals and artistically depicted idols of Durga and publication of Puja Annuals.
