The imposiog edifice to be known as the grand stand, whichhas jast been roofed, at the Oakland Trotting Park, can beseen for miles, and is a credit to the architect who designedit and tbe artisans building it. Aboutfifteen teams are busily employed hauling soil from the in-field to place in the brick enclosure to be known as the sad-dling paddock, and in a few weeks this building will beready for the painters.
