The Aragon Ballroom in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood on the city's north side. The Aragon was completed in 1926 and designed in the Moorish architectural style, with the interior resembling a Spanish village and named for a community in Spain. The Aragon was a popular Chicago attraction throughout the 1940s and hosted big name groups during the big band era. In later years it was venue for rock music and boxing. Today it continues to be home to English, Vietnamese and Spanish language performaces and concerts.
