Bratislava, Slovakia. The castle. In the 1809, the castle was bombarded by Napoleon cannons and in 1811 a fire destroyed most of the castle. The castle was reconstructed by volunteers without the support of the Communist government. The reconstruction started in 1955 and finished in 1968.
